01 / Who we are
Dark Mode Studio is a design practice based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, founded by Hussein Shirvani. For anything on this page, write to hello@darkmode.studio and a person will answer.
02 / What we collect
From the contact form: your email address, the subject you pick and the message you write. From the newsletter field: your email address. From a purchase: your name, email, billing country and the invoice our payment providers generate. From ordinary site use: aggregated, anonymous page counts. No profiles, no tracking pixels, no ad networks.
03 / Why we hold it
To answer your question, to deliver the template files and their updates, to send the newsletter you asked for, and to meet Dutch bookkeeping obligations. That is the whole list.
04 / Who else sees it
Payments and invoicing run through Contra and Polar, who process your order data as part of the sale. Hosting is with OVHcloud in the EU. The newsletter is sent by our email provider. Each of them acts on our instructions and may not use your data for anything else.
05 / How long we keep it
Invoices and order records: seven years, because Dutch tax law says so. Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, which is one click in every email. Contact messages: up to two years, then deleted.
06 / Cookies
No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Only what the site needs to work, plus anonymous, aggregated visit counts that cannot identify you.
07 / Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, take it elsewhere, or object to how we use it. Email hello@darkmode.studio and we will act within thirty days. If we get it wrong, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
08 / Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything material is announced in the newsletter.
